Turkey will invest tourism sector in Bangladesh

Turkey expressed his interest to invest tourism sector in Bangladesh.

Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism expressed his interest during a meeting with Finance Minister of Bangladesh. Turkish Culture and Tourism Minister said he wished to visit Bangladesh at the beginning of the 2020.

Turkish Culture and Tourism Minister would visit Cox’s Bazar to explore the potentials for investing in Bangladesh’s tourism sector. The Turkish Minister also informed that he would convince his country’s investors to invest in Bangladesh’s various sectors including in agriculture, industries and SME sectors.

Turkish Culture and Tourism Minister said that Bangladesh is a ‘rising economic star’. “The relationship between Bangladesh and Turkey is very good although the trade relations haven’t got such momentum. So, our efforts will continue to boost the trade relations,” he also added.

The Finance Minister said there is a good opportunity in Bangladesh to make profit in a larger volume since the country offers the best investment-friendly environment and very attractive stimulus for the investors among the South Asian countries. “Besides, there is also an opportunity to take benefit from the demographic dividend that the country will enjoy till 2030.”

Finance Minister of Bangladesh said the geographical location of Bangladesh has turned the country into a center of regional communication, foreign investment and global outsourcing.

Later, a mutual communique was signed up between Bangladesh and Turkey to boost bilateral trade and economic cooperation. Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal and Turkish Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy signed the joint communique on behalf of their respective sides.
